Project description
An established provider in the healthcare sector is seeking an experienced Delphi developer to further develop business-critical software in the e-health environment. The role combines legacy modernization, secure integration with modern services, and the targeted use of AI in software engineering.
Responsibilities
- Further develop and reliably operate a Delphi application for medication and prescription workflows that has evolved over many years
- Design and implement changes that measurably improve performance, stability, and data quality
- Analyze existing Delphi code, refactor it, and make it more sustainable to maintain
- Integrate Delphi components with modern services and data services, including in conjunction with .NET, Express.js, and MSVC components
- Maintain and further develop interfaces to drug databases and established standards for medication plans
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, and AI teams to create sustainable integration paths
- Utilize AI agents for analysis, refactoring, and documentation, and provide structured feedback to the team
- Actively help shape the modernization roadmap and combine reliable delivery with incremental development
Requirements
Must-have
These criteria are required for the project.
- Several years of experience in professional Delphi development, ideally with business-critical legacy applications
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
- Experience with integration patterns and the modernization of legacy codebases
- Proficiency with build, deployment, and version control tools
- Effective use of AI in software engineering, particularly for code analysis, refactoring, or documentation
- A technical college degree, preferably at the master’s level
- Fluency in German and English, as well as an independent and pragmatic approach to work
Nice-to-have
Not required, but a plus for your application.
- Experience with .NET, Express.js, or MSVC components
- Knowledge of AI pipelines, context engineering, and agent-based coding workflows, such as those using Claude Code
- Experience with software for medication or prescription processes
