Project description
A technology consulting firm is seeking an experienced senior consultant with relevant expertise in strategy consulting who will independently lead end-to-end work streams in the area of technology and AI due diligence as part of private equity transactions.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end workflows in the areas of Technology Due Diligence (TDD) and AI Due Diligence (AI DD) independently and with full responsibility
- Evaluate product architecture, platform design, scalability, technical maturity, software development practices, and technical debt
- Evaluate cloud infrastructure, DevOps processes, the cybersecurity posture, and dependencies on third-party technologies
- Review the AI product strategy, ML/GenAI architectures, MLOps practices, and the production readiness of AI systems
- Assess data assets, data quality, governance, and the sustainability of competitive advantages
- Conduct management interviews with CTOs, CPOs, technical leaders, and AI leadership teams
- Translating technical insights into investment implications, value creation opportunities, and post-acquisition priorities
- Preparing investor-focused reports and presenting findings to deal teams and investment committees
- Assessing AI governance frameworks, responsible AI practices, model auditability, and regulatory readiness
- Assessing engineering organizations, talent quality, operating models, and delivery capabilities
Requirements
Must-have
These criteria are required for the project.
- Background at a leading strategy consulting firm (MBB, top boutique) or in the Deal Advisory / Technology Consulting practice at one of the Big Four
- In-depth understanding of modern software architectures, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps, and cybersecurity
- Proven experience in technology due diligence, ideally in the context of private equity transactions
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, artificial intelligence, or an equivalent technical discipline
- Experience evaluating B2B software, SaaS, AI-native companies, digital platforms, and technological corporate assets
- Hands-on experience with ML/GenAI solutions in production environments (LLMs, RAG, AI agents, fine-tuning, vector databases, MLOps platforms)
- Ability to translate complex technical and AI topics into clear, business-relevant insights for investors and management teams
- Excellent C-level stakeholder management and strong executive-level communication skills
- A combination of consulting and hands-on engineering experience
- Familiarity with AI governance, regulatory compliance (EU AI Act), and frameworks for responsible AI
