Project description
A medium-sized enterprise in the metal manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced strategy consultant or senior consultant to develop a long-term corporate strategy through 2035.
Responsibilities
- Development of a long-term corporate strategy with a target horizon of 2035
- Definition of strategic positioning: which products are to be used in which industries and geographies to generate which revenues by 2035
- Analysis of market, technology, and industry trends driving future market development
- Assessment of growth potential in existing and new target markets (industries and regions)
- Derivation of a consistent market and sales strategy based on the overarching corporate strategy
- Identification of strategic directions (organic growth, new market segments, portfolio expansion)
- Development of a roadmap with prioritized milestones through 2035
- Close collaboration with management, sales, and product management
- Preparation and presentation of the strategy to top management
Requirements
Must-have
These criteria are required for the project.
- Several years of experience at a strategy consulting firm (top-tier strategy consulting firm)
- Proven experience in executing and supporting strategy processes
- Basic understanding of metal production and/or the metalworking industry
- Experience in developing long-term growth and market strategies
- Proficiency in trend and market analysis as well as scenario planning techniques
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at the top-management level
Nice-to-have
Not required, but a plus for your application.
- Experience with international market entry strategies
- Knowledge of common strategic frameworks (e.g., scenario planning, portfolio analysis)
- Experience collaborating with sales and product management teams in manufacturing companies
- Fluency in German and English
