Project description
An experienced ServiceNow & Jira Developer (m/f/d) is sought for the globally operating IT shared services division of a consumer goods company to develop an automation solution for integrating Jira time-tracking data into ServiceNow reporting.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of the existing time tracking structures in Jira (Atlassian) and the reporting requirements in ServiceNow
- Design and development of an automated interface (REST API / integration) between Jira and ServiceNow for transferring time entry data
- Implementation of validation logic to verify and, if necessary, group the transmitted data before importing it into ServiceNow
- Replacement of the current manual process (manual data entry into ServiceNow forms) with a scalable, automated solution
- Evaluation and, if applicable, implementation of AI-powered automation approaches (e.g., Microsoft Copilot Agents) as a complementary or alternative solution
- Configuration and customization of ServiceNow reporting modules to display aggregated activity and time data
- Documentation of the developed solution and handover to the internal IT team
Requirements
Must-have
These criteria are required for the project.
- Must-have: Proven development experience on the ServiceNow platform (scripting, REST API, reporting)
- Must-have: In-depth knowledge of the Atlassian tech stack, particularly Jira (API usage, time tracking modules)
- Experience developing API integrations (REST/JSON) between enterprise systems
- Knowledge of implementing validation and transformation logic as part of data integration processes
- Desirable: Experience with Microsoft Copilot Agents or comparable AI-powered automation tools
- Experience with ITSM processes and a global IT Service Management environment is a plus
- Business-level English is mandatory (corporate language); knowledge of German is a plus
- Independent, structured approach to work with the ability to analyze and implement processes on your own initiative
