Project description
Our client is a medium-sized enterprise in the wholesale and packaging industries. It is part of a larger group and is integrating several acquired companies into its IT infrastructure. They are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager – Infrastructure (m/f/d) on an interim basis to initiate and organize the integration until permanent staffing for the senior position is completed.
Responsibilities
- Discovery of the system landscapes of all four companies (infrastructure, network, ERP, databases) as a basis for planning
- Preparation of an IT audit identifying areas requiring action and a prioritized integration roadmap
- Management of external service providers, suppliers, and technical partners, including an assessment of which services will be assumed, retained, or replaced
- Planning and implementation of the integration, particularly the rollout of a unified Microsoft 365 environment
- Support for TISAX and ISO audits, including preparation, documentation of compliance, and tracking of corrective actions
- Standardization and optimization of IT and service processes
- Comprehensive technical documentation of all measures and decisions
- Reporting to IT management and coordination with executive management
Requirements
Must-have
These criteria are required for the project.
- Several years of experience as a project manager on IT infrastructure projects, ideally involving multiple companies or locations
- Proven experience supporting TISAX or ISO audits, including preparation, documentation, and implementation of audit findings
- Experience managing external IT service providers and suppliers, including contract matters, performance monitoring, and escalation management
- Knowledge of backup, restore, recovery, monitoring, and system optimization to thoroughly assess the status and risks of the infrastructure
- A structured, independent, and responsible work style that maintains a clear overview even when handling multiple concurrent tasks
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset when interacting with functional areas, executive management, and external partners
- Fluency in written and spoken German, as well as good English
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time
Nice-to-have
Not required, but a plus for your application.
- Experience with IT integrations following acquisitions, particularly with the harmonization of heterogeneous system landscapes
- Practical experience in the migration or implementation of Microsoft 365 environments, including identity and license management
- Experience in creating technical documentation as well as in standardizing and optimizing IT processes (e.g., ITIL-based)
- Knowledge of ERP and database environments, as well as their integration with infrastructure-related topics
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA)
