Project description
A power plant construction company is seeking experienced support to develop a standardized template for technical Project Management. The focus is on robust scheduling in Microsoft Project, as well as standardized processes, templates, and control matrices for technical projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing technical Project Management and project planning processes.
- Develop a practical template for planning and managing technical projects in power plant construction.
- Map out the project structure, work packages, milestones, and dependencies in Microsoft Project.
- Define uniform standards for scheduling, progress tracking, and plan updates.
- Create control matrices and templates for responsibilities, technical interfaces, milestones, and dependencies.
- Incorporate the requirements of different project phases and technical disciplines into the template.
- Document roles, responsibilities, and application rules for the project teams.
- Coordinate the template with relevant stakeholders, test it, and refine it based on feedback.
- Create a clear guide that supports standardized application in day-to-day project work.
Requirements
Must-have
These criteria are required for the project.
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in Project Management or project planning for technical projects.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Project, particularly in creating and maintaining complex schedules.
- Experience in developing project management templates, planning standards, or playbooks.
- Ability to clearly map out technical project structures, work packages, interfaces, and dependencies.
- Practical experience in creating planning, control, and accountability matrices.
- A structured, precise approach to work and confident stakeholder management.
Nice-to-have
Not required, but a plus for your application.
- Experience in power plant construction, plant engineering, or comparable large-scale projects.
- Knowledge of technical Project Management across multiple project phases.
- Experience with implementing standardized methods and templates in project organizations.
